   BLACK:     DARKNESS OF OUR SIN
   RED:         BLOOD OF JESUS
   WHITE:     CLEANSING FROM OUR SIN
   GOLD:       PROMISE OF HEAVEN
   GREEN:     GROWING IN GRACE


 
 
 
BLACK:  

Reminds us of the darkness of our sin.
  
Our unconfessed sin has made a separation between us and our God . 

"But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear."   
Isaiah 59:2 


 
 
 
 
RED: 

Signifies the Blood of Jesus on the Cross.  

Jesus shed His blood as a sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.  

"But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."  
Romans 5:8

 
 
 
 
WHITE: 

Represents the cleansing from our sin. 

God promises to forgive all of our sins if we ask Him. 

"But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong."  
1 John 1:9

 
 
 
 
GOLD: 

Points to the promise of heaven. 
 
When we trust Jesus as our Savior, He gives us eternal life.  

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."  
John 3:16

 
 
 
 
GREEN: 

Encourages us to grow in grace. 

After turning from our sin and trusting Jesus as our Savior, we need to grow in our relationship with Him.  

"But grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be all glory and honor, both now and forevermore.  Amen."  
II Peter 3:18

 
 
May the Lord bless you and keep you;
May the Lord make His face 
to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance
