Please join us as we discover how God Uses Everyday Things, Even a Pool Table, To Teach Us About Him.
Supporting Scriptures for "Days of Creation:" Genesis 1:1-31 Genesis 2:1-4
Can you find the fish and birds in the photos to the left?
In our first two Billiard Bible Studies we learned how an everyday thing such as a pool table can teach us about God and how the white cue ball can remind of us God, the creator of heaven and earth. Since we are talking about the Creator and His creation, let's review the order of God's creation and how the color of the white cue ball is related.
On the first day God created light.
On the second day God created sky and water.
On the third day God created land, sea, and vegetation.
On the fourth day God created the sun, moon, and stars.
On the fifth day God created the fish and birds. (Did you find these in the photos above?)
On the sixth day God created animals and man.
On the seventh day God did not create anything. God rested.
But God did not rest because He was tired. God rested because His creation was complete and it was not only complete, but He declared that it was good.
Remember our color white? Did you know that the color white comes from combining all of the colors in the light color spectrum together similarly to how God combined all of the elements of light, sky, water, land, sea, vegetation, sun, moon, stars, fish, birds, animals, and man to create our universe? Can we really think of anything that God missed? Look around the room that you are sitting in. Everything that you see has come from something that God created. Isn't that incredible and amazing!
So when we look at the white cue ball, we can be reminded of God, the completeness of His creation, and the goodness of the world in which we live.

"But sir, you don't have a rope or a bucket," she said, "and this is a very deep well. Where would you get this living water? And besides, are you greater than our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his cattle enjoyed?" Jesus replied, "People soon become thirsty again after drinking this water. But the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life."

For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful apart from me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."
